Trapped in a Music Box
She knows it
She has heard it all before
The music box in her hand has played the same tune for years
The same sad tune
She listens to her life play before her
Her soul crying as the song slows
She winds it up only to hear more
No one seems to care about her
She's all alone
Tear and bloodstained
The glass on the floor from an earlier fight has cut her
As she touches the shard, her hand bleeds
Her heart can't take it anymore
She's had enough
The music box falls from her other hand
It shatters
With that
She falls into the broken pieces
Her soul is free
Trapped no more in the music box
With a smile
She dies
Knowing that the pain will be gone
And the song can finally change
